This is a property that we have visited and stayed at often over the last twenty years. It always offers a nice getaway, in a spectacular location.

The Sanctuary often offers deals throughout the year, so we look to take advantage of these discounted offers when staying here.

The newly renovated rooms provide a great update to this property. Everything feels upscale, yet casual, with a California beach look. Over the years, the theme and quality of the onsite restaurant has been up and down until the current restaurant was opened. Since Salt Wood Kitchen and Oysterette has opened, we typically will have dinner there on one of the nights, or have brunch if we are there on a Saturday or Sunday. We always enjoy their selection of fresh oysters. On our most recent visit, we thoroughly enjoyed the Artichoke & Crab Spread. The Maryland blue crab in this dish was so delicious. We also liked the Bay Scallop Ceviche. The Calabrian Lobster Pasta is one of my wife's favorite dishes here.

There are lots of amenities to explore at this property. Some are included in your stay, while others come at an additional cost.

Pro tip: close the outer door that leads to the entrance of the rooms when going to bed for the night. The wind can come howling through and wake you up in the middle of the night if the outer door is left open.

Make sure to check out the Gallery to get more views of this resort.
