Race 7: This turf route looks like a very good spot for #9 Write Off Jerry 8/1. I think the last race is a toss with the traffic trouble. A little bit of a layoff with the blinkers added, could be just the right formula to get this gelding in the winner's circle. I'm going to box him in exactas with #12, #8 and #3.

Race 9 Queen Elizabeth II Challenge Cup Stakes: Taking a shot with the Euro shipper #3 Shimmering (GB) 10/1. She was scratched from a stakes race last Saturday versus older, to compete against three-year-old fillies in this one. She finished second in a stakes race last year in Ireland, to Lake Victoria (IRE), who went on to win the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies. The morning line odds make it mandatory to take a shot with this one. I'm boxing with #9 and #1 as insurance type bets.
